Constructed from 6060-T5 aluminium extrusion assembled using stainless steel screws, the ALTONE Lyndhurst is a strong , trouble free, low maintenance mailbox design that is vandal resistant and rust proof. It also comes fitted with a protective weather shield to help keep the rain out.
Available in a variety of different configurations, each bank can be accessible from either the front or the rear. Individual box internal dimensions are:
172 mm high x 330 mm wide x 330 deep – Lyndhurst Standard
131 mm high x 330 mm wide x 330 deep – Lyndhurst Slimline
of which the Lyndhurst Standard conforms to the minimum requirements set by Australia Post and AS/NZS4253.
Box apertures are large enough to accommodate standard A4 envelopes and magazines without folding. Body corporate boxes and open parcel shelves can be included upon request.
Available in silver Anodised finish as well as an array of powder coated colours, which compliment any architectural style.
Each box is fitted with an all weather resistant acrylic slat engraved with either the box number or identification details. Black slats with white engraving are most commonly used, however other colour combinations are available on request.
Including quality cam locks, duplicate keys with optional master key, turn knob, key tag and latch locks.
Bolted onto a wall face, post mounted or recessed into a wall/structural cavity. Cover trims are available for recessed boxes.
Posts are 60x60mm and standard height 1.145m or the height can be altered to your specification. Posts are supplied the SAME COLOUR as the bank. Base plates are supplied with eight screw holes. The inner four are for screwing the plate down onto the post and the outer four are for then screwing the assembly up into the box.
Standard trim is 20×20 or 20x40mm which can be attached or loose and supplied the SAME Colour as the bank.
Australia Post recommends that mailbox bank apertures should be between 600 mm and 1600 mm above ground level. Banks may be positioned at right angles to the footpath and as close as practical to the footpath boundary.
To accommodate large articles such as newspapers and periodicals, Australia Post recommends a larger common box be incorporated into the bottom row of boxes. All mailboxes should be clearly labelled with the street and/or apartment number.
